Check-In Tablet Setup

  1. Install Windows 10 Pro on the tablet.
    No network connection, local account “Admin”, set complex password.
  2. Connect to network
  3. Join The domain
  4. Place computer accounts in Kiosk OU
  5. Run updates
  6. Add checkin@bethelministries.org to local Administrators Group
  7. Power Options
    Set Screen and Sleep to never on battery and never when plugged in.
  8. Adjust Date and Time
    Set To (UTC-06:00) Central Time (US & Canada)
  9. Debloat and block windows Updates
  10. Install Firefox ESR
    https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/organizations/all/
    Set Firefox as default browser
  11. Configure Auto-Login
  12. Login as checkin@bethelministries.org
    Will need to manually login the first time.
  13. Add printers
    \\nursery\checkin
    \\checkin1\checkin1
    \\checkin2\checkin2
  14. Configure Zebra printer with Firefox
  15. Set to always be in tablet mode.
  16. Remove checkin@bethelministries.org from local Administrators Group
